Do I need an FFL to purchase parts from your site?

No. Since we do not sell serialized frames or receivers, you do not need a Federal Firearms License (FFL) to shop with us. All parts and accessories can be shipped directly to your doorstep.

What does NSPEC Innovations sell?

NSPEC Innovations is an online retailer of AR-15, AR-10, and AK parts and accessories: complete upper receivers, barrels, bolt carrier groups, buffers and springs, gas blocks and tubes, triggers and fire control parts, handguards, stocks, optics mounts, and Ukrainian-made KPYK AK furniture. We carry parts for every budget, from mil-spec replacement components to premium upgrades.

Does NSPEC sell complete rifles or lower receivers?

No. NSPEC does not sell complete firearms or serialized lower receivers and does not operate with an FFL. We sell the parts and complete upper assemblies used to build or upgrade a rifle. Because uppers, barrels, BCGs, triggers, and furniture are not serialized, they ship directly to your door with no dealer transfer required.

What is a forced reset trigger?

A forced reset trigger is a trigger system in which the rifle's own cycling action pushes the trigger forward into its reset position after each shot, instead of relying on the shooter's finger to release it. The forced reset trigger is commonly abbreviated FRT. Each round still requires a separate function of the trigger, which is what keeps it a semi-automatic device. NSPEC carries forced reset trigger systems for the AR-15, including the Hoffman Tactical Trigger Kicker and the Super Safety.

Are forced reset triggers legal in my state?

Laws on forced reset triggers vary by state and change frequently. Several states restrict or prohibit them, and manufacturers will not ship to those states. NSPEC follows all applicable shipping restrictions, but it is your responsibility to confirm your state and local laws before purchasing or installing any forced reset trigger system. When in doubt, consult a qualified legal resource in your jurisdiction.

What parts do I need to run a forced reset trigger reliably?

Most forced reset systems depend on a properly tuned rifle. The common requirements are a full-profile M16-style bolt carrier group, a true semi-auto hammer (not a demilled full-auto hammer), a standard 90-degree safety selector, and a heavy buffer such as an H2 or H3 to slow the cycle rate. NSPEC stocks all of these, and if you are not sure whether your current parts are compatible, contact us with your rifle's details before you order.

Will a KPYK handguard fit my AK?

KPYK builds furniture for specific receiver types, so the first step is knowing whether your rifle is stamped or milled. Stamped AKM-pattern rifles like the WASR-10, PSAK-47, KR-103, and WBP use the CRC 1U004. Milled Arsenal rifles such as the SAM7 and SLR-101 series use the CRC 1A003, 1A005, or 1A006. Yes. Compatibility questions are the most common reason customers contact us, and we would rather answer them before you order than after. In-stock orders are processed and shipped from our US warehouse promptly after payment, and you will receive tracking as soon as your order leaves.
